Keyword Tools: Komodo Edit 6

Our next goal is to find a text editor so we can make fast and accurate changes while we edit our plain text files.

Plain text files shows all characters that are present in the file, and, unlike word processors files, plain text files don’t add any additional ‘mark-up’ language.

Most operating systems come with a version of plain text files. Windows comes with Notepad – a simple-type of text editor. You can get more complex forms of text editors like TextEdit, Notepad+, and WordStar. Any of these can be useful keyword tools for your SEO wordpress blog.

The text editor that I enjoy using is called Komodo Edit v6. This open-source code editor is compatible for Windows, Mac, Linux, as well as, Python Ruby JavaScript, Perl, Tcl, XML, HTML 5, and CSS 3.

So let’s take a look at Komodo Edit 6.

First:

When you open up Komodo, you will be asked if you want to open recent files and projects.

This is a nice feature because it gives you a quick way to open your files while not having to comb through to find them.

Second:

After you open up a file, you can see that Komodo looks similar to some older versions of Microsoft Word.

You have the file name and the site directory on top. This is followed by a standard-looking Tool Bar.

What’s nice about Komodo, as opposed to the other simpler text editors, is that you can easily see every line of the document.

Another nice feature is that Komodo can customize syntax – color coding and word wrap makes editing easy to see and use.

On the left-hand side, near the numbers, you can select if you want to close a line of code. This makes it easier to hide code that doesn’t need to be edited.

Conclusion:

Our jobs, no matter what field we are in, are hard enough. There is no need to complicate things if you don’t have to. So finding  an easy-to-use keyword tool to help you with your SEO campaign will help you save time, resources, and your sanity.
